When looking for a little house in the countryside, I immediately fell in love with the landscape and nature of the Creuse while driving from Paris to first visit the place from where I am now writing this, sitting in the small wooden garden house that serves as my office. Everything fell perfectly into place, and now, as the owners of that little house, we spend as much time here as possible together with my wife and our dog.

The Creuse is located in central France, at the foothills of the Massif Central mountain range. It is one of the least populated areas of the country, and indeed of Europe. The landscape is truly beautiful, with rolling hills, lovely rivers, and all kinds of animals, including cows, sheep, and goats. I have only just begun to discover the region, but I already know that it has many different moods, much like a living person.

It is the perfect base for landscape photography and a region that is probably less well known than other parts of France, making it all the more appealing to explore with my cameras.
